What makes an AI chatbot different
The old kind of chatbot is a menu: press 1 for prices, press 2 for location. It breaks the moment a customer types something it didn't expect — which, on WhatsApp and Instagram, is most of the time. Customers write in mixed Arabic and English, send voice notes, ask three questions in one message and come back two days later expecting you to remember them.
An AI chatbot reads the message the way a person would and answers from the information you gave it. A good one does four things well: it answers accurately from your own prices, services and policies instead of guessing; it qualifies the lead by asking the questions your sales team would ask; it remembers every customer across conversations; and it knows when to stop and hand the conversation to a person.
